Natalie Queiroz MBE is an influential advocate for victims of crime and a powerful voice for change within the criminal justice system in the West Midlands. Appointed as Victims’ Advocate by the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner in April 2025, she brings unparalleled lived experience and strategic insight to championing victim rights, systemic reform and community-centred support services.
Her journey from survivor to advocate is both deeply personal and profoundly impactful. In 2016, Natalie survived a violent attempted domestic homicide – being stabbed 24 times while eight months pregnant – a trauma that reshaped her life and fuelled her lifelong commitment to supporting others affected by violent crime.
In her current role as Victims’ Advocate, Natalie works at the forefront of strategic policy development and systemic improvement. She ensures that victims’, survivors’ and witnesses’ voices are heard at the highest levels of policing and justice, providing expert advice to the Police and Crime Commissioner and collaborating with both criminal justice and support service partner agencies to enhance regional victim support frameworks. Her work includes identifying improvements to victims’ experiences and journey through the criminal justice system, influencing service design and advocating for robust accountability across criminal justice institutions.

Her influence extends beyond advocacy into public engagement and policy dialogue. She spends time down in Westminster, meeting with Ministers and key MPs, as well as sitting on steering committees and consultation panels in both the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office. Natalie has also collaborated with national leaders including both the National Victims Commissioner and the Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England and Wales, promoting issues such as implementation of the Victims’ Code, compensation reform and access to justice. She regularly speaks at conferences, community events and strategy forums to elevate victim perspectives and drive systemic change.
In recognition of her contributions, Natalie was awarded an MBE in the 2022 Birthday Honours for services to young people and the prevention of knife crime, reflecting her longstanding work in youth violence prevention, youth empowerment, and community advocacy.
Natalie’s leadership is defined by resilience, empathy and an unwavering dedication to victims’ rights. She continues to work tirelessly to ensure justice is not only served, but experienced with dignity, support, and meaningful outcomes for those affected by crime.
