The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner must publish any report required by the PCC from the “responsible authorities” for the West Midlands under section 7(1) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (see Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, Schedule 11 (5)).
The PCC may require such reports where he is “not satisfied that the responsible authorities” in the West Midlands “are carrying out their functions…in an effective and efficient manner” and it is “reasonable and proportionate in all the circumstances to require a report”.
This information must be published as soon as practicable.
No reports have been required of responsible authorities, November 2012 – January 2020.
