| #POWERS | We’ll be using Section 60 powers in Walsall and Bloxwich again until 7am tomorrow (5 February). They enable us to stop and search people we suspect may be involved in violence, without the need to have reasonable grounds, and help keep you safe. The powers will cover the areas of St Matthews, Bloxwich West and East, Blakenall, Mossley Birchills and Leamore and we’ll have increased patrols in place. It follows the murder of Bailey Atkinson in Walsall town centre last weekend. Three teens were yesterday charged and remanded in connection with his death as our enquiries continue.
