The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Foster has revealed Dudley is set to get a brand-new police station.
The new station, which it is hoped will be based at the Castlegate Business Park, will be fit for the 21st century and become Dudley Police’s Headquarters.
Mr Foster has been working hard to deliver on his pledge that Dudley will have its own police station, since he was elected in 2021.
Contracts have been exchanged, planning matters are in the process of being resolved with the local Council and the purchase is progressing. The new station will be modern, have ample parking and good transport links close by. It will be a base for the local neighbourhood policing team and force response. It will also have a front contact office that the public can attend, speak to a police officer and report a crime.
The current police HQ in Brierley Hill will be sold. However, the local neighbourhood policing team will be re-located locally within the town, to ensure the team remains within the community it serves. West Midlands Police are actively looking for a new police base in Brierley Hill.
The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, Simon Foster, said “I am delighted to announce, that Dudley is set to get a brand-new police station. I have been working hard to deliver on my pledge, that Dudley will have its own police station, since I was elected in 2021.

“I am committed to re-building community policing, to keep people, families, businesses and the local community safe and secure.”
