Grade: 9 – £52,389 – £55,803 (Depending on Experience)

This is a politically restricted post

We are seeking a talented Accountant to join our team on a short-term contract, who will be responsible for supporting the financial work of the OPCC and the wider strategic functions.

You will support the Chief Finance Officer in ensuring the financial management activities of the PCC are effective.  You will have experience of managing the production of monitoring reports ideally with multiple income and grant streams.

You will play a leading role in providing financial support to the commissioning activities of the PCC including maintaining effective controls. You will have oversight of money distributed to partners and assist with applications for grant funding and calculating grant returns. In addition we need to review the coding structure of our ledger so experience of making changes and a good knowledge of Oracle Fusion would be beneficial.

Successful applicants will have experience of providing financial management in complex organisations including producing high quality information and financial advice to senior managers. They will also be part qualified CCAB accountant or CIMA.
